Biography

Jeremy Pettit’s directorial work was been awarded by Vimeo, Adweek, Snowboarder Magazine, and The Reels Film festival. Most recently he received a Gold Telly award for Outstanding Branded Documentary Series and a Vimeo Staff pick for his Toyota branded series “Beyond the Bib”.

Jeremy’s humble beginnings of documenting skate and snow culture in the streets and mountains of British Columbia ultimately catapulted him around the world to make independent and branded films. Since day one Jeremy has lived the lifestyle he captures, earning an authenticity that cannot be bought and an instant connection with his subjects. This passion has led him to tell stories featuring some of the world’s best athletes including Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim, MLB’s 2016 MVP Kris Bryant, and Paralympic medalist Amy Purdy. His latest project for Eastbay is a series called “ConqHer” which features Olympic Gold Medalist Helen Maroulis and tells her story of growing up in a male dominated sport and recently overcoming a traumatic brain injury which led to PTSD.

Producers liken Jeremy to a ‘Swiss army knife’ due to his comfort in all stages of film production including a strong editing style and comfort behind the camera. Recent cinematography clients include Express, Abercrombie & Fitch, Disney, Under Armor, Roxy, and Chipotle. His eye for beauty and ability to find raw, emotional moments crossed with a history of action driven stories result in beautifully shot, poetic films that bring the audience as close to his subjects persona and emotions, as to the intensity of the action.

Jeremy lives in Los Angeles.
